A dangerous operation on the unborn baby’s heart was successfully completed by doctors at AIIMS Delhi. The treatment, known as balloon dilation, was carried out on a grape-sized baby’s heart within the womb. Despite the infant’s heart issue, the treatment was carried out since the parents wanted to keep the child.
The 28-year-old patient had experienced three miscarriages before to being taken to the hospital. At the Cardiothoracic Sciences Institute, AIIMS, the mother had the procedure in the hopes of bettering the baby’s condition. The treatment was successfully carried out by the group of interventional cardiologists and experts in foetal medicine.
