Manipur is become first home to saffron farmer Khundrakpam of Imphal. 35year old guy, who works as a sound recordist and theatrical production manager, is proud of his new enterprise, saffron cultivation. This experimental aeroponic saffron farming effort was carried out on the crop's "Red Gold" soil. The market price is estimated to exceed ₹5 lakh per kilogram.
