At the National Integration Tour- 2025 Experience Sharing Program, which took place at Raj Bhavan’s Durbar Hall in Imphal, Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla emphasized the value of cross-cultural interaction and national cohesion. Students from Manipur’s many districts came together for the event to share their experiences traveling to different Indian cities. Speaking to the assembly, Governor Bhalla emphasized that a greater appreciation of India’s rich legacy is fostered by direct exposure to a variety of cultures, customs, and lifestyles.
He emphasized how these kinds of excursions help to foster national integration by dispelling myths, fostering tolerance, and fortifying ties between individuals from all backgrounds. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, which seeks to improve communication and understanding between states and Union Territories through organized exchanges, was also emphasized by the governor.
In order to give students from other areas the chance to experience the distinctive cultural richness of Manipur and the northeastern states, he argued for the expansion of similar programs. Students shared their travel experiences at the event, talking about the foods, landmarks, and customs they came across. The Governor and the students engaged in an interactive discussion as the session came to a close, during which he urged them to serve as ambassadors of harmony and cultural understanding.
