The Indian Overseas Congress organizes a meeting in UK to support Rahul Gandhi.

Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) members from the UK chapter gathered in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Parliament Square to demonstrate support for Congressman Rahul Gandhi, who was expelled from the Lok Sabha after receiving a two-year sentence in a defamation case. In coordination with widespread Opposition demonstrations in India, a group of supporters assembled in front of the Houses of Parliament in London on Sunday with placards reading “Daro Mat” (Don’t be terrified) and “Indian Democracy in Peril” and the tricolour.
According to a statement from IOC UK, “The IOC leaders reminded [the audience] of Rahul Gandhi’s stand to safeguard India’s hard-fought democracy.”
