Amazon.in has seen significant growth in the Northeastern region during the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2023, with over 1.6X YoY growth in the Home, Kitchen, and Outdoors categories. The region offers discounts on cookware, electric scooters, bikes, home appliances, Diwali lights, home décor, and sports equipment.
Amazon.in has invested in infrastructure to make online selling easier and more productive for its sellers, with one fulfillment center and one sortation center in Assam. This investment helps Northeast sellers deliver to customers and creates employment opportunities.
Amazon.in has also launched a comprehensive range of interior and exterior paints, including over 1,000 shades, essentials, and a Paint Finder calculator to help customers visualize and compare paint shades. K N Srikanth, Director of Amazon India, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience during the festive season. He said, “The northeastern region holds a prominent position and is growing at more than 1.6X YoY across Home, Kitchen and Outdoors category. We are building our capacity to cater to the emerging demands from the region and 20% of orders in Guwahati are being delivered within 1 day.”
