Information and broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur said on Sunday that obscenity and harsh language were not acceptable in the name of innovation, taking a tough stance on complaints about content on OTT platforms. Speaking at a news conference in this city, Thakur stated that the government has taken complaints of vulgarity and abusive language in content on OTT platforms seriously and would not think twice about taking severe steps to reverse this trend. Tossing insults in the name of creativity cannot be tolerated at all, according to Thakur.
