Toyota Kirloskar Motor increases Production with Third Shift operations

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced three-shift operations from May 2023 at its manufacturing facility in Bidadi to meet the rising demand for its existing products and new launches in 2022. It will boost production output by over 30% and create additional employment of close to 25%.

Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) in its Bidadi plant, focuses to scale up students’ skill levels, and it has been expanded last year with capacity going up from 200 to 1,200 students. TKM currently has a 6000-member strong team, including production and non-production staff. Toyota is committed to a greener future through TEC 2050, including the Plant Zero CO2 Emissions Challenge and the adoption of alternative renewable energy sources.

TKM has focused on maximizing plant efficiency and embracing cutting-edge technologies to contribute to India’s “Make in India”, “Skill India,” and energy efficiency objectives.Mr. Sudeep Dalvi, SVP & Chief Communication Officer, TKM said “The market has responded positively to our product line-up, and our “customer first” philosophy will continue to manifest across all business decisions.”
