Inaugural Chapter of Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav: A cultural odyssey unveiling the richness of Northeast India, a four-day cultural extravaganza, will be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, from the 8th to the 11th of February 2024.The event timings are scheduled from 10 AM to 8 PM. The Northeastern Handicrafts & Handlooms Development Corporation Limited (NEHHDC) is organizing the event managed by the Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region. This event is being held as a part of Udyan Utsav 2024 at Amrit Udyan inside the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises. The biannual event will be celebrated in seven chapters, each focusing on a different geographical region in India, with the first chapter honoring the Ashtalaxmi, the eight culturally rich states of the North-Eastern Region. The event, to be inaugurated by the Hon’ble President of India and the Hon’ble Minister of DoNER, Culture and Tourism, is scheduled for February 8th at 11.15 AM.
Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav, the first chapter of the festival, showcases Northeast India’s diverse arts, crafts, and cultures. It’s more than just a celebration; it uses Rashtrapati Bhavan as a platform for economic opportunities. The festival encourages exchanges in traditional handicrafts, handlooms, and agro products, fostering growth and development in the region.
