Winner of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2023 earns Rs 35,000 cash prize

Ashish Samarpit, a participant from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong, clinched victory in the finals of Cluster 24 at the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2023. Representing the North East region, the Cluster 24 Finals bore witness to outstanding performances from all the participants. Ashish Samarpit, the deserving winner, was awarded a substantial cash prize of Rs. 35,000 and secured a coveted spot in the upcoming Zonal Finals. Adding to the competitive spirit, Rohan Kumar Sinha, also from IIM Shillong, earned the runner-up title and a cash prize of Rs. 18,000.

The 2023 edition of the Campus Quiz has introduced a format where India is divided into 24 Clusters. After two rigorous rounds of online preliminaries, the top 12 finalists from each Cluster have qualified for the Wild Card Finals. From there, the top 6 finalists from each Cluster will proceed to compete in the 24 online Cluster Finals. These 24 Clusters are further categorized into four zones: South, East, West, and North, with each zone consisting of 6 Clusters. The Zonal Finals will be conducted online, and the National Finals will be held as an in-person event.The winners and runners-up from each Cluster will be rewarded with cash prizes of Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 18,000, respectively. The top two performers from the four Zonal Finals will secure a spot in the National Finals.

The National Finals will showcase the talents of 8 finalists, all vying for the coveted title of National Champion. The ultimate victor will be bestowed with a grand prize of Rs. 2.5-lakh and the prestigious Tata Crucible Trophy. Notably, this year’s National winner and the top two scorers at the National Finals will also have the exciting opportunity to win an internship with the esteemed Tata Group. Since its inception in 2004, Tata Crucible, a knowledge initiative by the Tata Group, has consistently provided a platform for young minds to display their quizzing prowess. It has nurtured curiosity and encouraged out-of-the-box thinking through quizzing, making it a valuable contribution to the development of young talents in India.
