A study conducted by Nielsen Media India on behalf of Amazon India found that Indian consumers are bullish, excited, and more eager than ever to shop online during the upcoming festive season. The study found that: (1) 81% of consumers have a strong sentiment and intent to shop online during the festive season. (2) 78% of consumers trust online shopping, and half of them plan to increase their online spending compared to the last festive period. (3) Consumers expect a wide selection of products, unmatched value with competitive pricing, and the convenience of easy returns and exchange.

(4) 68% of consumers said that Amazon.in is their go-to and convenient online shopping destination, and almost half identified Amazon.in as the most trusted and loved online brand for festive shopping. (5) The study also found that consumers are particularly interested in purchasing electronic items, apparel, footwear, and fashion accessories during the festive season. Amazon.in is the most preferred online brand for consumers to shop for these categories.

Overall, the study shows that Indian consumers are bullish and excited for online festive shopping. They are looking for a wide selection of products, unmatched value, and the convenience of easy returns and exchange. Amazon.in is the most preferred online shopping destination for consumers during the festive season.
