Wistron Corp approved the sale of Wistron InfoComm Manufacturing to Indian manufacturing unit to the salt-to-software conglomerate, Tata groups. After the approval, Tata will soon start manufacturing Iphones in India.
According to the reports, for an estimated $125 million the Wistron board has approved the sale to Tata Electronics Private Limited.
Deputy Minister for Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar said on X, “A Tata Company will start making iPhones in India for domestic and global markets.”
